About this event

You are invited to participate in St. Francis College's Town Hall on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in all of its forms. This is event is sponsored By Student Government Association and Multicultural Student Affairs The Black Lives Matter movement has created an opportunity for discussion and change that is unprecedented.

This is your college and community and we invite you to participate and have a voice in how these mission critical values are intentionally lived and practiced in the Franciscan tradition. The college continues to respond and invest even more to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion are reimagined as vital components of academic, extra-curricular, staff and alumni experiences. Without the participation, expression of needs and vision that only you as students can provide the response will not be as robust and authentic as it must be. Join with other students in a conversation where you will have the opportunity to listen and to be listened to, share, learn from and support one and other in the spirit of community. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and hear about what is going on at St. Francis and to suggest ways in which the college can do even more.

Jeffrey Emil Diaz the Interim Chief of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion engaged by President Miguel Martinez-Saenz as a part of a broad commitment to advance work in these areas will frame and facilitate this conversation as he has with faculty, staff and alumni. He will offer an environment that is safe yet open to authentic conversations. He will bring his experiences at St. Francis, other universities and colleges and the business world.

Please be a part of this important event and encourage your classmates and friends to do the same. The first step to real change is honest dialogue and faith.

The Zoom link will be sent one hour prior to the event's start time.
